The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of whales, sea lions, icebergs, glaciers, and whatever else nature throws at us (even moose)! This summer season has been absolutely incredible so far, but it’s the busiest I’ve seen it since working on the boats. I cherish my one day off a week like no other. Today is my day off this week, and I’m playing in the Southeast Alaska Cornhole Tournament, which was tons of fun the first time it was hosted. Some adult beverages while throwing some bags with friends is a good day off in my book.
I’m still on the Keto train and loving it. I feel so much better overall. I sleep better, can function better on less sleep, have more energy, and just feel great. I don’t expect to be this strict about this way of eating forever, but I’ll never go back to eating all that processed junk that I did before. Cutting out sugar and carbs has been a life changer for me. My plan is to start incorporating healthy sugars and carbs back into my diet in a couple months or so, like more carby fruit and veggies (I’ve really missed mangoes and bananas!).
I got a creative itch last week and ordered a bunch of stones and gemstone beads, so when I actually have time to tinker with my jewelry tools I’ll hopefully have some fresh rock candy to wear and start up my Etsy shop again.
Anyways, here are a few photos from the last couple days!
