Yeah yeah, I know it’s been over a month since my last post. I told myself I’d be more on top of writing on this blog… but yeah, life happens I suppose. It’s been a good fall season so far. Work has switched into the more laid back winter vibe, there’s snow on the mountaintops, hockey season started, and I took a wonderful trip back home to TN for a week.
I almost bought a condo last month. I got pre-approved for a loan, found a sweet condo that I immediately fell in love with, put in an offer which led to a counter offer… then the seller decided to take it off the market and wait till spring to sell. *major cry face*
I am so ready to get my own place. I love the little house I’m in right now. The view is amazing, my landlords are wonderful, but it’s soooo small. I guess I’m just outgrowing it. I did get a storage unit and cleaned out a lot of stuff that I want to keep but don’t use often. That helped a little bit with my feeling of just being super cluttered at home. I guess everything happens for a reason, so maybe I’ll find something even better when the time is right.
I’ve also been in a bit of a funk the past few months. I just haven’t been real happy. I need to get back to my happy-go-lucky self. I think what I need is just more time in nature. Actually, I know that’s what I need. I’m surrounded by all this beauty around me and I just haven’t been taking advantage of it lately. All my life I’ve found my happy place just being outside… going on hikes, camping, snowboarding, getting out on the water. I need to get back to that outdoorsy me again. I also need to stop being a hermit and get outta the damn house more often. I’ll get back to my happy self eventually.
My Keto game has remained strong! I’ve been lifting at the gym and loving it. Last month I started a strength training program called Ketogains 5×5. Apparently 5×5 is a popular routine for beginner strength training and I’ve been leaning towards the Ketogains macros (slightly higher protein than fat) instead of the traditional Keto macros (higher fat with moderate protein) since I want to build a little more muscle and get stronger. So far so good! My weight has stayed the same, which makes sense since muscle weighs more than fat, but my clothes continue to get looser, I feel stronger, and I’ve noticed a little more definition in my muscles, especially my arms. After all, I don’t give a damn what the scale says, I just want to continue to feel healthy and be in shape. I love this Keto lifestyle and it’s very easy for me to maintain this way of eating. It’s been a life changer!
Peace peeps! Here are a few photos from the past month 🙂
